Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee're Baaaaaaaaack!
Once upon a time, Leah and Lysi dreamed of a magical land where there were maple leafs at every turn, where they could hear the interjection "eh" used properly in a sentence, and where the beaver was appreciated for the proud and noble creature that it is. And suddenly, they realized that such a place actually existed! Far to the north of their Carolinian home lay a frozen wonderland known to the natives as "Canada". They embarked immediately.

Rainbow + Horseshoe = Niagara
So this is a nice shot (taken by Lysi) of both the American (Rainbow) and Canadian (Horseshoe) Falls. Great pic, but it doesn't do it justice. You should really go there yourself to witness it. And, uh, take us with you.

Help repay Leah for funding this excursion! Please?
Ever wonder how long it takes to go from southern North Carolina to Niagara Falls?
Well wonder no more! Its about 712 miles, or just under 12 hours. According to mapquest. Actually, if you accidentally speed through West Virginia because you're talking to your friend and you don't realize that you're going down a mountain until you glance at the speedometer which at that moment reads 100mph, then it really only takes a little over 10. That's the rough estimate after subtracting the bathroom breaks. The many bathroom breaks.
We have lots more pics. You know you want them. Just ask nice.

Lysi (left) and Leah at the Rainbow Falls
Lysi: Dear God, I look like a Weebil! Leah: You do not.
Lysi: Yes I do! I bet if you had pushed me, I would have wobbled but not fell down. Wardrobe!

Um Yeah
Sent in by one of our Canadian friends. That was hard to guess, eh? Lysi: Of course, after the exchange rate, Canada is roughly the size of Rhode Island. What?! Don't look at me like that, you know you've picked up a book before and said to yourself, "Why is this more in Canada?" |
